Crush coral vs sand

Ok my friends i going for a bigger tank i have a 46g and just bought a used 75g it came with crush coral but in the tank i have now i have sand i like the way the crush coral looks but people said not to use it, what you think people

A tank can do just fine with crushed coral substrate, but I have always found that the larger granules can be problematic with maintenance. Especially if you run into algae trouble, as it is more able to root in the larger surface area of the crushed coral pieces.
