Produt Name: Purple Up
Catagory: Calcium/Iodine Addative
Form: Liquid
Color: Milky White
Living: No
This product adds a natural( and by natural I mean dug up fossilized coral ground into power and then water added to it) form of calcium and iodine to your reef system. When adding to a system mix with fresh water or aquarium water and pour near a power head for best results. After adding to your system it will remain quite cloudy for upto 6 hours. If still cloudy afterwards this mean you may have too high of Ca (Calcium) in the tank. It may as it settles add a white dusting over rock work. This is okay. Pink/Purple coralline algaes seem to react to the Ca and grow and spread quicker. One bottle will treat a system for a while. It will get used up very quickly in a SPS or LPS system, test often in these tanks. Remember to shake before each use as settling will occur.(There is a small bead in the container to help mix and break up any CA that starts to bind together.)
I have noticed that when I add this to my system and maintain the 450 miligrams per liter that reef systems are supposed to have. Within 3 weeks I get a bloom of new coralline algae all over the tank. There is stead growth over 4 months and then poof I have massive die-offs of all the new coralline algae. This has happend 3 time so far. Also do not overdose this product, I did that once. I have since started using about 1/4th as much as called for and I have had good growth. My system only has soft corals in it.
Great product! Worth its money!

Produt Name: Marc W's Reef Bugs
Catagory: Food/Biological Filter
Form: Powder
Color: Orange/Brown
Living: Dormant
This product claims to add a group of different bacteria to your tank to help build a population of larger micoplankton. In the directions it states to add to a small amount of aquarium water in a container. Mix several times over a period of half an hour. Then add to aquarium near moving water, i.e. a power head. The zip lock bag is enough to feed or seed a 100 gallon tank for quite a long time, as you only need a small amount for it to work. If kept in the firdge it is good for about 3 years otherwise use within a year. Keep in cool dry place.
I have only used for about a week now and nothing to note as of yet. I will keep you all posted!

Produt Name: Current USA Nova Extreme T5 with Moonlights
Catagory: Light
Form: Aluminum housing
Color: Black power coated
Living: No
These lights contain 2 - 4 T5 lights in various lengths. The bulbs range in colors however a system will be sold with 2 - 10,000 Kelvin and 2 Actinic Blue (460 nm) bulbs. The 24" fixture has two Moon lights, the 36" has three, and the 48" has 4. The early modles moonlights were very dim. Also the the end sockets for the lights were immobile. The new style lights came with very bright white moonlights and the endcaps were replaced with a moving back so that a better fit and contact with the lights could occur. The unit comes complete with two On/Off switches and four power cords. One for the fan, one for the moonlights and two for the main T5 lights. When used with a timer one can create a very nice full light cycle. The fan and moonlight power cords are the large bulky square end style and will most likly need their own outlet.
The fan is very loud and does not do a very good job of moving the heat out of the unit. The reflector could be a slightly better design and material. Old style moon lights go dim after about a month. The new style I havent noticed this yet. I comes with mounting legs that do not screw into the unit very well. They tend to rust rather quickly. Current should create a better connecting system. All in all great system. Produces more light than PC units of same design size at a fraction of the electric cost. Take a 24" PC with 2 65watt bulbs (130 watt total) and compair it with a 24" T5 system with 4 24watt bulbs (96 watt total) the T5 systems prouce more light for shallow tanks than do PC bulbs.
