Octopus Extreme Problems

I just installed my new Octopus Extreme 160 I bought from here on my 110g reef. The skimmer is overflowing with bubbles even to the point where it is pushing the cover off. I have tried to adjust the air intake with no success. I have also tried to adjust the intake tube from open to closed again with no success. What could be happening. The skimmer is sitting in 9.5" of water in my sump. I am also posting pics which will better explain what I am talking about. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There is something in your water causing this. Your foam head looks like its starting inches below the taper of the body. What have you added to your tank? Any sort of water conditioner or additive?

Have you used epoxy in the tank recently, as that can cause this overflow reaction as well.
