Hey Gang,
Is there a company or maybe an individual that refinishes acrylic tanks locally in Indy?
I have a 240 that needs to have some scratches buffed out. I don't have time to mess with it. I have heard of being able to use certain types and grades of sandpaper for the deeper scratches, anyone ever do this?
I bought the 3 step Novus products but have not had an opportunity to try it out yet.
The tank is currently in Brazil IN. sitting empty. I live in Noblesville and hopefully will be bringing the tank up this way in the next month or so.
I would like to get it buffed up and cleaned up so that I can put it up for sale.
Thanks for any and all information.
Kevin

There are commercially available kits for buffing the scratches out of acrylic... but they are awfully time consuming. They normally consist of several grades of buffing cloths. You can waste hours and not perfectly remove the scratch... or end up with a spot that stands out for its glossiness. If there is a professional acrylic repair company here, I am not aware of them yet.
