Help!

I need help. I have two clownfish that have been together for about 8 months. Now one(I am assuming the female) is chasing the other one and nipping at it constantly. Is this ok? Will it pass? Is there anything I can do?

It really depends how bad the harrassment is. The bigger female will harrass the male somewhat if they have paired. I would say that when damage is actually being done to the other fish or if it seems overly stressed, then it is not a pair. My pair have always lived together, get along pretty well (very minimal chasing and harrassing) and have produced many clutches of beautiful orange eggs. Keep a real close eye on them and if you see damage or it looks excessive (I know that's a relative term, but the only way I can think to put it), you'll probably have to separate them. Good luck!
