I need some advice or help. I thought by brown tang had ich or a fungus so I was told to put herbal treatments in the water. I did and with in 24 hours my 6 clowns, and my powder brown tang were dead. Could this be from the ich treatment? I have a blue hippo and a foxface and they look like they have ich, but are still alive. If you have any suggestions or know what could be causing this please let me know.

I would move the remaining fish to a quarantine tank and treat them with hyposalinity. Increase the temp in your main display and leave it fallow for 6 weeks to eradicate the ich from the main display and starve it out. The remaining fish will hopefully survive the qt and be ready to go back into the display after the 6 weeks. This is the main reason one wants to practice dilligent qt of new additions. Oh and btw....what size tank did you have these fish in. Six clowns and a brown tang could have been stressed out and were prime candidates for stress induced disease.

They wont like it but it shouldnt kill them, always watch them though if they start to look stressed drop the temp back down to 80-82 F.

I have had my tank temp up to 86 once and the corals did just fine. I only have softies though. Not sure how the LPS or SPS will do.

I wouldn't bother to raise the temp in the display. In order for you to kill ich, you would have to raise it much higher than the corals can stand.
I agree, the remaining fish should be removed to a qt for treatment and any new additions should be qt'd for at least 4 weeks before introducing them to the display. Hypo will work as long as this is ich and not Velvet.
Another problem I wanted to address was the six Clowns in one tank, this would have eventually become a problem in itself. In the wild you MAY find a 'harem' of Clowns..one female, one dominant male and the rest smaller males, but in captivivty this rarely works. Clowns are cute but if you have ever seen two Clowns fight to become the females mate, it is not pretty. The dominant male will kill the other males as they are a threat to him.. It is best to have just a pair. Yes, even tank raised Clowns are best kept in pairs.
Good luck to you

^^^ Agreed, raising temp won't do anything for SW ick, that will work for FW but thats a whole new ballgame. It won't speed up ick's life for more than a few days. Just hypo and be done with it. Just make sure your using a refractometer and not a swing arm when dropping to .009
