I need a in sump protien skimmer for my 125 gallon. I have about spent my max on the tank so I need one at a reasonable price. Let me know if you have one that you are wanting to sell and we can work out something.

If you want a cheap skimmer get an octo 200 and mod it. If you brought it over I would gladly show you what to do. I would even take the half hour to do it as well :D. Powder has a pretty good offer as well.

Look at this thread for some non-biased skimmer reviews http://www.wetwebmedia.com/marine/index.htm.
Your boyfriend may have bought a dud-I hope not though. The Euro-Reef and Aqua C are always recommended as the better units (price per dollar would favor the Aqua C but the Euro-Reef RS are better priced). The Deltecs are excellent but suffer from poor service and bad pumps and are outragous in price.
Good Luck

Tim, WWM gives the worst advice around for skimmer choice. I would not reccomend wasting your time reading it. There coral and fish advice is good, but there skimmer advice is partial to aquac and ER because they are one of the very few sponsors they have. Just wanted to pass along that info. :)
